Yokohama Japan 100 Steps Village Bridge Canal Traditional Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view of a village in Yokohama, Japan, featuring a bridge over a canal and traditional houses. A long staircase, known as "The 100 Steps" (Hyakudan), is visible leading up the hillside. These steps led to a popular teahouse on the bluff in the Noge area, which offered views of the harbor and was frequented by foreign residents and visitors during the Meiji period.
