Naples della Marina Tenements Architecture Street Scene Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the crowded facades of traditional tenement buildings along Via della Marina in Naples, Italy, with laundry hanging from balconies and lines. This area, historically a major thoroughfare along the city's port, was a focal point of the Risanamento, the massive urban renewal project that began in the late 19th century to modernize Naples.
