London Hampstead Heath St Stephen's Church Fishing Pond View Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view across one of the ponds on Hampstead Heath, with people fishing on the grassy bank in the foreground. In the distance, the skyline of Hampstead is visible, including the prominent tower of St Stephen's Church. Hampstead Heath has been a popular public space for Londoners for centuries, and St Stephen's Church, a notable example of Victorian Gothic architecture, was completed in 1869.
