This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a bustling scene in the Market Place of Hitchin, Hertfordshire, with vintage cars and a 'Road Motors Limited' bus. Prominent storefronts include Spurr Draper and Halsey & Son Tea & Provision Warehouse. Hitchin's Market Place has been the commercial heart of the town for centuries, with a market charter granted in the 14th century, and many of the buildings seen are still recognizable today.
