This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows two men stand between large stone elephant statues on the road to the Ming Tombs in China. This path, known as the Spirit Way, is lined with large stone figures of animals and officials. These sculptures were erected in the 15th century to guard the necropolis of the Ming Dynasty emperors.
