China Ming Tombs Avenue Stone Figures Statues Sculpture Road Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view down the Spirit Way, the "Avenue of Stone Figures," leading to the Ming Tombs in China. The unpaved road is lined with large statues of officials, with horses standing in the path. The Ming Tombs are a collection of mausoleums for emperors of the Ming dynasty, and this sacred road is guarded by these impressive stone sculptures.
