Chicago Soldier Field Stadium Aerial View Lakefront Cityscape Vtg. Photo 20thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows an aerial view of Soldier Field and the Field Museum in Chicago's Grant Park. The stadium is shown in its original U-shaped configuration shortly after its 1924 opening. Designed as a memorial to American soldiers, it sits prominently on the Lake Michigan lakefront, a key feature of the city's Burnham Plan. The grand neoclassical architecture of both buildings is visible.
