Altmarkt Dresden Market Square Fountain Architecture Cityscape Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a bustling market scene unfolds in Dresden's historic Altmarkt square, with numerous vendors and shoppers gathered around a central monument. The prominent building in the background is the old town hall. The Altmarkt has been the city's central marketplace for centuries. This photograph captures the square and its pre-World War II architecture, much of which was destroyed during the 1945 bombing of Dresden.
