This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the Main Guard building in St. John's Square, Valletta, Malta, with soldiers standing on duty. Originally built by the Knights of St. John as a guardhouse, it was later used by the British Army. The prominent neoclassical portico and the British Royal Coat of Arms above it were added in the early 19th century, as seen in this photograph from the period.
