Strasbourg Cathdrale Notre Dame Munster Gothic Spire Vtg. Photo 19thC.

This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the iconic single spire and ornate west facade of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, or Strasbourg Minster, tower over the city's rooftops. A masterpiece of Gothic architecture, its spire made it the world's tallest building from 1647 to 1874. The German sign on a foreground building reflects the period when the Alsace region was part of the German Empire (1871-1918).
