Sir Walter Davidson Newfoundland PM WW1 Military Officers Visit Vtg. Photo
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a group of dignitaries, including military officers and civilians, survey a landscape during World War I. The group includes Sir Walter Edward Davidson, who served as the Governor of the Dominion of Newfoundland from 1913 to 1917. Newfoundland, then a self-governing dominion, played a significant role in the war, and this image likely captures an official visit to troops or a battlefield site.
