This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a studio portrait shows two Lepcha Kazis, or regional governors, from Sikkim. The older man stands while the younger man is seated, both dressed in traditional patterned robes and hats. The Kazis were the hereditary aristocracy of the former Kingdom of Sikkim, which was a British protectorate during this period.
