San Francisco Beach Camping Tents Vintage Cars Ocean Coast Vtg. Photo 20thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows san Francisco residents camp on a California beach, with numerous tents pitched on the sand next to their vintage automobiles. During the 1920s, the growing accessibility of cars led to a boom in "auto-camping." California's scenic coastline became a popular destination for these impromptu seaside holidays, allowing families to enjoy the oceanfront in a way that is rarely seen today.
