This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the Benjamin Franklin Bridge is shown spanning the Delaware River, with a busy industrial railyard and lumber yard in the foreground. Originally named the Delaware River Bridge, it opened in 1926 to connect Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Camden, New Jersey. Upon its completion, it held the record for the longest suspension bridge span in the world, a major engineering feat of its time.
