Peking Beijing China City Walls Camels Caravan Snow Winter Vtg. Photo 20thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a caravan of Bactrian camels travels along a snowy path outside the massive city walls and a gate tower of Peking, now Beijing. These formidable fortifications, which encircled the city for centuries, were largely demolished in the mid-20th century to accommodate modern development, making this view a rare historical record.
