This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view of Courtenay Street in Newton Abbot, Devon, featuring the iconic, ivy-clad St Leonard's Tower. On the right is the Globe Hotel, while a curved terrace of shops lines the left side of the street. The Clock Tower is the remnant of a 13th-century chapel and stands as a central landmark in this historic market town, which expanded significantly with the arrival of the railway in the 19th century.
