This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows this view shows the Paço de São Cristóvão, home to the National Museum of Brazil, located in the Quinta da Boa Vista park in Rio de Janeiro. Originally the residence for the Portuguese and Brazilian imperial families, it was converted into a museum in 1892. The historic palace and most of its vast collection were tragically destroyed by a fire in 2018.
