Munich Siegestor Victory Gate Arch Quadriga Street Scene Vtg. Photo 19thC.

This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the Siegestor (Victory Gate), a triumphal arch in Munich, Germany, is shown with its iconic quadriga pulled by four lions. The cobblestone street leading through the arch features tram tracks from the era. Commissioned by King Ludwig I of Bavaria and completed in 1852, the monument was originally dedicated to the glory of the Bavarian army. It stands at the end of Ludwigstrasse and separates the Munich districts of Maxvorstadt and Schwabing.
