Metlakatla Canada Church Gothic Revival Architecture Steeple Vtg. Photo 19thC.

This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a large wooden church with a prominent steeple in Metlakatla, British Columbia. This building, St. Paul's Anglican Church, was the centerpiece of the utopian Christian community founded for the Tsimshian people by missionary William Duncan. The community and its impressive church were notable achievements of the era before a significant portion of the population relocated to Alaska in 1887.
