Dresden Germany Sophienkirche Zwinger Palace Architecture Vtg. Photo 20thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view of the Theaterplatz in Dresden, showing the Baroque Zwinger Palace and the Gothic Sophienkirche. In the center stands the monument to King Frederick Augustus I. The Sophienkirche was heavily damaged during the bombing of Dresden in 1945 and was demolished by East German authorities in 1962-63, making this a rare view of the original cityscape.
