Chinese Temple Pagoda Overlooking Rural Valley Landscape Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a high-angle view from a Chinese temple or palace complex, with a traditional pavilion in the foreground. The scene looks out over a vast rural landscape of villages, fields, and distant mountains. This perspective was common in imperial gardens of the late Qing Dynasty, designed to provide scenic and contemplative views of the natural and man-made world.
