Bruges Belgium Ghent Gate Porte de Gand Medieval Gatehouse Vtg. Photo 19thC.
This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows the historic Ghent Gate (Porte de Gand) in Bruges, Belgium, with its twin towers and arched entryway. A bridge crosses the canal in the foreground, leading towards the medieval city gate. The Gentpoort is one of the four remaining medieval city gates of Bruges. Originally built in 1297, the current structure largely dates from a 1402 reconstruction.
