Bexhill High Street Sussex Old Town Shops Grocer Watchmaker Vtg. Photo 19thC.

This quality reprint of a vintage photo shows a view down the High Street in the Old Town of Bexhill, Sussex. Shops line the unpaved road, including a watchmaker, a grocer, and a post office, with a horse-drawn cart in the distance. Bexhill, an ancient town, was undergoing major development as a seaside resort during the late 19th century, though the Old Town retained its historic charm.
